Turkey Trots in the Bay Area 2026: Thanksgiving Races Around the Bay

Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 26, 2026, and the San Francisco Bay Area has turkey trots all over the region. This list covers the whole area, with races this year in San Jose, San Mateo, Fremont, Pleasanton, San Ramon, Concord, Moraga and Gilroy. It pulls every upcoming Thanksgiving themed race in the area listed on RunSignup and updates automatically as new races open registration.

Tips for Race Morning

Most trots start early on Thanksgiving morning, and the bigger ones can fill parking lots and close nearby streets, so check your start time and plan to arrive early. Late November mornings around the Bay are usually cool and can be foggy near the water, so a light throwaway layer works well at the start. Check the National Weather Service Bay Area forecast the night before.
