Turkey Trots in Sacramento 2026: Thanksgiving Races Across the Region

Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 26, 2026, and the Sacramento area has turkey trots all over the region. This list covers the whole area, with races this year in Sacramento, Folsom, Davis, Woodland, Granite Bay and Lincoln. It pulls every upcoming Thanksgiving themed race in the area listed on RunSignup and updates automatically as new races open registration.

Tips for Race Morning

Most trots start early on Thanksgiving morning, and the bigger ones can fill parking lots and close nearby streets, so check your start time and plan to arrive early. Late November mornings in the Sacramento Valley are often chilly and can be foggy, so dress in layers you can shed and leave extra time for driving. Check the National Weather Service Sacramento forecast the night before.
